We know, you will like this

One of our cheerful giver, asked an interesting question during her visit to the home, New Jerusalem Children’s Home, on 19 October 2017. We walked with her between the different buildings of the home, we shared with her, what every building is used for, by the children and personnel of the organisation.

New Jerusalem Children’s Home old double garage, presently used as a boys dormitory – one we are saying goodbye to

As we got into the currently built boys residential unit, she looked at us, before asking a question she said “I am happy for the boys, being given an opportunity to see where and how the boys are sleeping at the moment, finally to seeing what you are working towards giving them, I am pleased by your work. She took a few steps, looking into the kitchen and turned to us, with a soft but rich voice – she asked, guys tell me – apart from the psychological development of your boys, what do you want to change in their lives with this building?

Truly there was no answer from the book to help us respond to her, with the child social background and an individual path each one of them has travelled, our answer was very much based on the child’s tomorrow, therefore we answered “we don’t really want to change anything in their lives – we want to give them hope, we want them to see life better by providing a dignified roof over their heads, a roof which will open their eyes and make them dedicate their lives to making their own tomorrow better – the building will be a child’s hopes towards a better tomorrow irrespective of their individual social background – we want to give them an enabling environment”

She asked further – I am interested in being part of creating an enabling environment for them with you, one which will better their tomorrow, I am sure they are many more people out there who may equally want to help. What would you like us to help with, towards creating an enabling environment? Our respond is – please choose one, if not all of the below material, which are immediately needed to completed the building and have the children moving into it. Our hope is to usher them from an old double garage into the new building during the last week of November 2017.
