Dear Men and Women of Passion; we, sisters and founders of New Jerusalem Children’s Home greet you in the name of our almighty father. We are pleased to share with you the many blessings that were showered upon us in the form of the loveliest event held over Women’s Day. Firstly, we would like to say a big heart felt thank you to all those that came out to share the special day with us and touch our lives in such a way that’s hard to express. We thank you for all the well wishes, prayers, and financial support rendered to not only promote women but towards touching lives of beautiful innocent children as found in New Jerusalem Children’s Home. Your actions have brought light to the popular African saying ‘It takes a Village to raise a child’ and that is what you have done and continue to do through showing us love.
Women of Passion Lunch was a platform to help acknowledge and celebrate the efforts of beautiful women in society at large. We count ourselves fortunate that we can even be remotely considered as people that have accomplished something of significance. Women of Passion Lunch allowed for us to receive the proverbial ‘flowers’ while we can still smell them. A gift made possible by numerous jewels in the audience and NJCH team that has touched us so deeply and rejuvenated our strength in continuing the good fight for protection of children’s rights and healing of social ills currently killing our society. New Jerusalem Children’s Home serves to us a reminder of the hard work, sacrifice, and triumph that we have shared over a decade in building this safe haven. To us, it serves as a reflection of our love and commitment towards one another as sisters and a reminder to keep fighting the good battle and following our hearts.
As much as the event was about women we would also like to acknowledge all the efforts made towards the fundraiser for our new residential building for boys. You may recount that we are working hard to get this project off the ground and are 20 percent on target towards providing our boys the necessary accommodation that they deserve. We will continue to call upon you for your support to make this a reality as we need your help more than ever and thank you for all you have already done. As the great Maya Angelou said ‘People will forget what you said, will forget what you did, but will never forget how you made them feel’. On that note beloved partner, you truly made us feel loved and appreciated and that is a treasure we will carry on for the rest of our days.
May God Bless You All.
With Eternal Love,
Sisters, Anna and Phina Mojapelo (Founders of NJCH)
