Tax Season deadline

Dear partners, donors/sponsors and friends of New Jerusalem Children’s Home

March 31, 2017 will come to be the deadline for Tax submissions in our country South Africa; March is the most important period for all taxpayers to submit their tax returns to South African Revenue Service.

During the financial year, 2016/17 New Jerusalem Children’s has been receiving both goods and cash donations from you and your companies; some of the received donations during the financial period have been classified as anonymous donations, which where made direct into the organisation.Our communications department might not have been able to reach you or a friend you might have referred to touch a child’s life in our organisation through a donation or goods support.

Our organisation; NJCH is a non-profit company and qualifies as a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO). This allows a tax benefit to New Jerusalem Childcare’s Home donors. NJCH may issue Section 18A receipts for bona fide donations, which allows for donations of up to 10% of taxable income to be deducted from such income, as stated in the Act.

We – New Jerusalem Children’s Home, therefore call upon all our Dear partners, donors/sponsors and friends to please touch base with our Marketing and Communications department for a PBO certificate, this is a certificate to show your heartfelt support towards our organisation. You are welcome to enquire about ways to get involved, making donations/sponsorships to better lives of children and youth in our care.
