2015 Open Day Tour

Come and get to know New Jerusalem Children’s Home “South Africa’s first children’s container house and eco-friendly home” and its projects in progress.

On the 17th April 2015 New Jerusalem children’s Home will be hosting its annual open day tour, the event will start at 10am to 2pm at 138 Steyn Road, President Park, 1632. This event is open to all individuals and corporates in and around Midrand, the tour is aimed at introducing the organisation to the public and share its current project which speaks to children’s wellbeing and community development.

With the increasing need for sustainable and child orientated organisations transparent to its communities; New Jerusalem Children’s Home will be hosting an open day tour, an event planned to share the organisations vision and dreams leading to the year 2021 when it turns 21 years of its being and when many of its children will also be celebrating their 21st birthdays. Key conversion; tour sites seeing will include the organisation need for expansion to include new children’s beneficial projects as opposed to just being a home, amongst others being the building of a Montessori Primary School to continue a child prepared learning environment which they currently offer on a pre-school level, a construction of a boys residential unit to properly shelter boys of the home with a more child privacy in mind and space, to the paving of key areas of the home.

New Jerusalem Children’s Home has been in existence for 15 years now; come the year 2021 it will be celebrating 21years of its being and 12 of its children, current record, will be celebrating their 21st birthdays, this are children who entered its doors when the organisation was established in the year 2000, “celebrating their birthday in a developed organisation which will be a home to 160 children during that time will be an honour to me and communities at large, by a home I refer to a place which will have a Primary school, community skills development centre, a conference centre which will be a business meeting place for the many passionate innovators in our immediate and surrounding communities which often have no meeting places to share their dreams. This is my simple dream, which needs men and women from all walks of life to give in their hand, more importantly corporates and individuals time to hear my story, children’s story come the 17th April 2015”, said founder/CEO of the organisation Adv.
