I can’t believe we are on winter’s door step already; our friends and family in the Northern Hemisphere should certainly be looking forward to summer days coming soon, I personally wish to have summer days throughout the year.

On behalf of New Jerusalem Children’s Home I would like to keep you abreast with our organisation’s projects in bettering lives of our children and in sustaining the organisation, I am sure you all know that it has been full fifteen years (15) since the establishment of this organisation. It will not sit well in my heart if I don’t acknowledge the many lives who walked through the gates of this organisation to pull us up, give us hope, lift our hands to feed and care for our many children. I thank you all; your presence and footprint in this organisation has left us stronger and better and we would not have gotten this far. Without it we would not be having this Vision 2021. See our website (2021)

Time and again I’d find myself and team having long conversations, structuring our needs and aligning them with the betterment of our children’s future. The organisation has grown to be a home to 85 children, permanently in our care with 30 employees assuring every child’s wellbeing and giving parental love to all of them. It’s amazing and heart-warming to see children running to different employees of this organisation shouting “teacher, teacher” with that child’s tone, full of love and inner happiness to see that individual. I am sure you can relate to the joy you get when your child runs to you after a long day or week of not spending time together. My team might have been in contact with you requesting for your support towards a certain project or to help us sustain the project or maybe to ask you to visit our organisation, I am glad they did.

We are in a process of building a new residential unit for boys, if you have been on site you might have seen how our boys are sheltered. The project is on top of our list and we would like to build and complete it this year, site plans are done, approved and ready for developments all it needs is your hand as our stakeholder, we need R3.9 Million to get the structure built, it has not been easy to get this kind of a monetary support, therefore we have dedicated a reference name (boys home) for all those who might wish to make a contribution, account to make a donation into is: Bank: Absa | Branch: Midrand | Branch code: 632005 | Account type: Business Current Account | Account no: 40-6878-3216 | Account name: New Jerusalem Chidrens Home | Swift code: ABSAZAJJ (for international transactions)

With our vision shared above; I humbly come to you to ask for your support, be it monetary, material or skills to get this project off the ground. As I have always said and will always say “our vision and mission will guarantee survival only if high joint efforts by stakeholders, community and corporate communities take part in our organisation, its activities and projects”

Lastly; I would like to welcome all our new donors, sponsors and partners, I warmly welcome you to New Jerusalem Children’s Home, furthermore to warmly acknowledge all donors, sponsors and partners who have been with us till this day, you have done and still doing beyond expectation, may your hand be rewarded till end of days.

Please take time off to visit our website for updates; I would encourage you to visit our projects page, am confident you will find a project which might talk or be aligned with your believes if not your Corporate Social Responsibilities/Investment alignment.

Thanks to all those who came to our 2015 Open Day Tour.

Cheers
